Recycled art on display

CagedWhat artistic masterpieces can Christchurch schools create entirely from recycled materials? That's what The Recycled Art Competition, run by the SuperShed, wanted to find out.

More than 100 entries from 18 schools came in. SuperShed displayed the artworks in early November, and Charlie from What Now judged the pieces with about 100 students present.

In the Year 9 and 10 section the winning entry was Caged, from St Margaret's College (pictured).

Halswell Residential College's Train Plaque was second and another St Margaret's College entry, the Queen's Tea Party, was third.

Several artworks are on display at Central Library until January.
