What I like about this book, is the Indian aspect. The two conflicting Indian characters in this book are accurately captured. Having lived in India for 7 years myself, I was able to really relate, which made it really enjoyable.
And if you've never been to India it gives a better idea on what Indian culture is all about. . . .

The Da Vinci Code by Dan BrownReviewed by Sarah
I absolutely loved this book. 10/10 and *****! Not for the faint hearted and if you're looking for a nice, sweet, uneventful book this is definitely not the book for you! But if you're looking for an exciting, fast-paced, fantastic book, you're in the right place.
In this book Robert Langdon recieves a late night phone call- the curator of the Louvre has been brutally murdered inside the musem. He arrives at the scene and meets cryptologer Sophie Neveu. Langdon and Neveu decipher the strange codes the curatre has left next to his body to find a trail that stretches deep into the vaults of history.
This book leaves you reeling and wanting more and more. Before reading this book try the first Robert Langdon book-Angels and Demons. These 2 book are absolutely MUST READS! I enjoyed Angels and Demons best, though some people may think otherwise. You can't get enough of these books-you just GOT 2 read them.
Also by Dan Brown: Digital Fortress and Deception Point.

Ellie moves to Annapolis, Maryland, with her medievalist parents. Ellie enrolls at Avalon High School where one of her teachers is searching for the reincarnation of King Arthur and his court. Just when you think the book is at the end it really is just begining. Lies, cheating, humor, a book you just can't put down.

I personally think it is a brilliant book. I can't get over how the author can have so many issues in the book and not get muddled up with it. It is about a girl that is at school and is in a soccer team. She goes on a soccer camp and gets told she has the chance to play for the U-18's team. She is thrilled to hear this and then her Dad turns up late to pick her up and tells her that he was late because he has been diagnosed with cancer and will only live for about 3 months. The only thing is, is that she has try outs for the U-18's team in 3 months. The story goes on from there about how she copes with it and what happens in the end. It even has a part in it about a guy who might like her and she then has the drama's about that to deal with aswell. I am still reading it and i would recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of everything in a story.

Angels
and demons by Dan BrownReviewed by Emily
I only just finished reading it but it so deserved a BRILLIANT review.
Angels and demons is by Dan Brown and is one of Browns' four books series. Dan Brown uses all sorts of different writing methods, but most of the book is about cryptology.
Robert Langdon is a religious symbologist who was taking a conference when he was asked to be ready to get in a plane in 20minutes. From then on Robert Langdon would be helping solve one of life’s mysteries. THE ILLUMINATI. There is a murder. Leonardo Vetra. HE was one of the brightest scientists in CERN, one of the worlds major science labs. He and his daughter, Vittoria, had created an amazing _________ i wont tell you now. You can read the book.
Robert Langdon toured Vatican City trying to find clues on what had happened and who had done it. With the help of Vittoria, Robert and Swiss Guards, They figure out the answers to these questions. I gave this book a ***** 5 stars and a 10/10... I also recommend other DAN BROWN books; The DA VINCI CODE, DIGITAL FORTRESS and DECEPTION POINT but Angels and demons was my favourite.

This is the story of Kirsten in her group of the three amegias, Sam and Julie included. They go to a popular club a lot, The party room, that's where it gets it's title. But one day, well, night/morning, Sam doesn't arrive home. Kirsten lies to keep Sam safe, until they find Sam, in central park...DEAD!
The investigation continues as more and more of the people Kirsten knows keep getting plucked off. So Kirsten, to the anger of the detective, starts doing her own research...
A GREAT READ! This has to be in the top ten so all of you can read about it! It honestly kept me reading, I read it in 4 hours because I couldn't put it down! (To the anger of my mother).

Twilight by
Stephanie MeyerNo, this is not another Buffy (thank goodness). It’s a blockbuster of a read that we couldn’t put down, so we reckon it’ll make an awesome read for those lazy summer days that are loomin’ right around the corner - yes, there IS life after exams! We all devoured it from front to back in a couple of sittings and took turns in being totally non-communicative - whoever was reading it might just as well have not been here. Unashamedly, it’s a love story but one with a difference - Isabella is a fabulous heroine with the craziest sense of humour and even though this is all about vampires, it’s somehow totally believable so all kudos to the author, Stephenie Meyer.
Edward, our hero!!! sigh flutter slow down heart … is one hot dude (how could it be otherwise with his porcelain skin, golden eyes, mesmerizing voice and supernatural gifts) and we agree with the publisher’s blurb here - Edward is both irresistible and impenetrable. Trouble is he’s a vampire and he’s from a family of vampires - but they’re not the sort to rip into your throat. They’re sophisticated, refined and into culture in a big way but, more importantly, they’ve got their bloodlust totally under control which means they don’t go around terrorising the neighbourhood. There’s a whole heap of tension between Bella and Edward as they try to deny a mutual attraction - after all, it simply isn’t acceptable for a vampire and human to fall in love and lust … or is it … but the story really takes off when a rogue band of vampires arrive on the scene - one of whom is determined to get to Bella (who has a tantalising aroma apparently!) no matter what it takes.
This is a delicious read that will keep you up to the early hours of the morning and, perhaps, waiting with bated breath, just like us, for the next full moon …
