Perfect Daughter

By Leanne B

He leaves me
lying on the floor
My blood everywhere
I can't move

Tears on my face
mix with the blood
My heart beats
Against my chest

An hour
no two
I stand
and fall

Short of breath
I make it this time
I stagger onto my bed
And try to sleep

Day comes
I dress my face
No-one will know
Anything

I breeze through school
All A's of course
I eat with my friends
No-one knows

I place a smile
Where it should be
I walk home
feeling the bruises

I have dinner
He doesn't come
Not until tonight

Remember

By Kayley Sutton

Times that should be treasured.

Buried, but not forgotten.

Dig it all up.

Turn the trampled earth inside your head.

Re-discover all we had, live it all again inside your mind.

Remember the times we laughed, we cried, said nothing because nothing needed to be said. Remember every call, every moment, every promise remeber it all but say nothing to me because you threw it away, how we used to be, still want to be.

Leave it in the past, revive it in the present, or store it for the future.

Dont ask me, I dont know, im not here, im lost.

Falling into memories from not so long ago.

Smile

By Katie, Rangiora

Smile when it's sunny,
Cry when it's not,
Smile when it's funny,
Fall asleep when it's hot!
