Beginner’s Lasagne (that tastes like the professional’s)
What you'll need:
- 500 gms mince (good quality mince is way best)
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp marjoram
- 1 tin (425g) tomato puree
- 2 tbsp tomato concentrate paste
- 1 packet dried tomato soup
- 2 tsp beef stock powder
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- 1 pkt dried lasagne (about 200g)
- 2 cups grated Tasty cheese
For the sauce:
- 2 tsp cornflour
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- paprika
How to make it:
- Mix first 9 ingredients thoroughly
- Grease large ovenware dish (that turns in your microwave!!)
- Pour a third of the meat mixture into it
- Place 1/2 of the lasagne pieces on top
- Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of cheese
- Add another third of the meat mixture, the rest of the lasagne & another 1/2 cup of cheese
- Finish off with the remaining meat mixture
- Cover & microwave immediately on high for 30 mins
- Meanwhile … mix together the remaining cheese, egg, cornflour and milk
- Pour this over the cooked mixture (when ready)
- Sprinkle with paprika
- Cover again & microwave on medium for 10 minutes or until topping sets
- Leave to stand for about 15 mins (you can zap it slightly in the microwave if you want it hot hot hot)
