Youth health services in Christchurch

Christchurch’s 198 Youth Health Centre delivered health services to young people. for 15 years until it closed on April 30 2010.

What to do if you were a customer of 198 Youth Health Centre

The Pulse Te Auaha and Doctor G have previously referred readers to the 198 Youth Health Centre. Services are now delivered by two different organisations, The Clinic and Waipuna Trust.

Medical services

Some 198 Youth Health Centre doctors and nurses will be working at The Clinic (192 Gloucester Street, Christchurch). Unless you have requested your medical records to be transferred elsewhere, then your records are now being held at The Clinic.

You can phone 366-3581 to make an appointment (mentioning you are from 198) or visit The Clinic to make sure you are registered with the 198 team.

Counselling services

198 counsellors will now be working from Waipuna Trust, 349 Woodham Road, Christchurch. Phone 386 2159 to make an appointment. They provide a youth support service.
