What you've told us: Results From Our Survey

May 2005
What do you think is most important in a person?

Personality came out on top with 65% of you reckoning it was the most important, followed by Looks with 20% of the vote. Clothes came in third at 15%. And here's a bit of feedback we received from Genivieve that caused a bit of a mighty discussion here in the offices of Pulse.

I know that everyone says it's your personality that matters most, but that really only works if you know someone really well. Usually people only like to be friends with you if you are remotely good-looking. That's not how it should be but that's the truth. If a person was ugly and scarred, you wouldn't particularly want to be friends with them, even if they were really kind and creative on the inside. The world as we know it today is just too shallow to see past a person's cover. Never judge a book by its cover has more meaning than you initially think.
