The following categories were open:
If you’re Year 9 to 13, a Christchurch City Libraries member, and full of ideas – or just want to strut your stuff down a catwalk – South Christchurch Library is holding a fashion extravaganza with lords and ladies, lads and ladettes dressed to kill in their own special ensembles.
If fashion is not your thing, we also have a ‘Steampunk’ an everyday object category which challenges the engineers or technically-minded among us. Simply take an object such as a cell phone, laptop, lamp (or even a toaster!) and jazz it up with cogs, levers, wires – anything to make it look ‘punked’. Or create your own version of a steampunked everyday object with bonus points if it still works!
There is an additional “OPEN” category, limited to the first 20 entrants.
If you’re stuck on just what steampunk is, or the ideas aren’t flowing, check out the resources available at Christchurch City Libraries.
